STEPHEN P. FALATYN, M.D.
A graduate of Cornell Medical College, Dr. Stephen Falatyn completed two spine fellowships, the first at Thomas Jefferson University and the second at Temple University. His practice specializes in complex reconstructions for spinal deformities and minimally invasive spinal surgery, focusing on the treatment of both pediatric and adult scoliosis and spondylolisthesis, spinal cord compression from disc herniations, and spinal stenosis.
Dr. Falatyn's original interest was engineering, where he excelled at Cornell University, designing and building complex machinery for several international corporations. Excellent with working with his hands, he has continued that interest in medicine and established himself as a top spinal surgeon working in the Lehigh Valley since 1997.
Dr. Falatyn received special recognition for his achievements in medical school at Cornell Medical College. His research has appeared in numerous respected national publications, and he continues with teaching at medical schools and scientific meetings.
Dr. Falatyn has an outstanding reputation for his personalized patient care. He maintains an interest in keeping the spine healthy through both operative and non-surgical methods. On a personal level, he enjoys maintaining his own health playing rugby on a national and international level.
Dr. Falatyn will maintain offices in Bethlehem and Allentown, and will be performing surgeries at St. Luke's Bethlehem and Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg.
