JAMES C. WEIS, M.D.
As a prior family physician, Dr. Weis brings a unique perspective to the highly technical field of modern-day spine surgery. Although years of specialized training and practice have passed since his early days in medicine, Dr. Weis continues to offer comprehensive and personal care typified by a family physician to his sub-specialty practice.
Practicing spinal surgery in the Lehigh Valley since 1995, he has established himself as one of the busiest spinal surgeon in the region, performing approximately 300 spine surgeries annually. He has built his reputation through personal attention to his patients and exceptional surgical results.
Dr. Weis routinely treats all surgical disorders affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He has a particular interest in the use of spinal instrumentation for spine fusions and minimally invasive spine surgery. He has received national recognition for research and publication in both of these areas. In addition, he has lectured nationally in regard to minimally invasive spine surgery techniques such as endoscopic spine surgery.
